Welcome Back Rangers!!
Welcome to the math world at TSD! I am thrilled to be teaching Algebra 1 and Math Models this year! I am looking forward to working with you brilliant mathematicians! Here I will tell you a little bit about me, my syllabuses for each courses I am teaching, my grading policy, and my contact information.
A little bit about me:
I grew up in Illinois, graduated in a mainstream program at Hinsdale South High School. I then went to Gallaudet University for my undergraduate; I got my two BA degrees; one in education and one in mathematics. I also have recently gotten my Master's in Deaf Education from the same university, Gallaudet, back in December 2022.
I’m certified to teach in both Washington, D.C., and Texas. I love watching students gain confidence as they discover that math isn’t just about numbers—it’s about problem-solving, curiosity, and growth.
Favorite things to do:
- Hiking/any Lake activities (SUP or tubing)
- Hanging out with friends
- Reading (especially mystery/suspense thriller type of books)
- Watching movies/shows
