Hi! My name is Tammy Southerland, and I’m thrilled to be teaching English II this year! My goal is that by the end of the school year, each of you will leave my class not only with stronger English skills but also as more compassionate, thoughtful, and confident individuals.
Grading & Late Work Policy
Please note that late work will not be accepted unless an extension is approved at least 9 hours in advance. If an emergency comes up that may prevent you from submitting an assignment on time, please email me before the deadline. Communication is key, and I’m happy to work with you when you reach out in advance.

About Me
I was born and raised in Texas and earned my Bachelor’s degree from Gallaudet University. I also completed my Master’s degree in Deaf Education at Lamar University.
Outside of TSD, I enjoy spending time with my partner, friends, and family. I’m passionate about making learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. I can’t wait to spend this year learning and growing with you!
