Teacher Information

Welcome! I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! This year I am teaching 8th grade Debate, 7th grade Public Speaking, and 8th grade Bilingual Language Arts.

 

I was born and raised in Indiana, where I attended Indiana School for the Deaf. I graduated from Gallaudet University, with a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences. After graduating, I spent a year teaching preschool at my alma mater! Literary has always been a passion of mine and my hope is to inspire that passion in our students. 

 

In addition to teaching here at TSD, I am also the Head Coach for the High School Varsity Cheerleading team! I grew up cheerleading at ISD, and I absolutely loved coming up with new ideas for routines, stunts, and cheers. It’s an honor to continue that tradition here at TSD. Outside of teaching and coaching, you can find me exploring Austin with my pup Emris! We love visiting pet-friendly places, such as coffee shops and bookstores.
