Hello!

Hello/¡Hola! I’m Samara Jansen, the Hispanic Parent Support Specialist at TSD. I’ve proudly worked here for 17 years. In my role, I support our Hispanic families by translating school information and documents, maintaining weekly contact, providing resources/workshops/support to our families, and interpreting English-Spanish-English, as needed.

We moved to Austin because of Texas School for the Deaf. My oldest son fell in love with the school and we knew it was the right fit, so here we are! I also have a younger son who is 20 years old.
