A Glimpse of Carlotta
Hey y’all!
Introducing myself!! This is Carlotta Hernandez, a proud Middle School Teacher Assistant at TSD—and a PROUDLY TSD alumna myself! I live in Austin, Texas (though I wasn’t born here), and I’m thrilled that my TSD spirit has been passed down to my two boys—one has already graduated, and the other is still on his own amazing journey here at TSD and will graduate in May 2026. Also, I have two crazy claw cats. Fun Facts: I have several colors glasses.
I attended Gallaudet University, where I focused on Family and Child Studies, and honestly, becoming a TA felt just right from day one—I absolutely love it!
When I’m not helping out in the classroom, you’ll probably find me swimming, relaxing, and going with the flow. I’m super chill—except when it comes to bugs and reptiles. Nope, no thanks! 
Oh, and I’m also a HUGE Ohio State University fan—Go Buckeyes!
What I love most about my job is watching our amazing students grow, learn, and shine every day. It’s such a privilege to be part of their journey and cheer them on along the way.
