Message from the Governing Board President

Dear Members of the TSD Community,

TSD like every other school district in the state is facing challenges like never before amid
the coronavirus pandemic.

On behalf of the Governing Board, we would like to thank our students, faculty, staff, and
administrators for their extraordinary resilience and hard work in the past couple of weeks.

Our faculty and staff are doing an outstanding job rising to this unprecedented challenge.
Your decisions and actions toward ensuring the safety of our community coupled with the
transition to ensure academic and business continuity have been complex, fast-moving,
and absolutely amazing.

Our Superintendent and our school leaders have responded by calmly taking charge, taking
strong and necessary actions, and consistently exemplifying a message of support,
encouragement and safety for our students, families, faculty, employees and the entire TSD
community.

We appreciate the communication we have received from the Superintendent and the detailed
updates that are available on the TSD’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) site, which can be accessed
on the TSD homepage: www.tsd.state.tx.us

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the April 17th meeting of the Governing
Board will be virtual, with additional details coming soon.

Estimados miembros de la comunidad de TSD,

TSD, como cualquier otro distrito escolar del estado, enfrenta desafíos como nunca antes en medio dela pandemia del coronavirus.

En nombre de la Junta Directiva, nos gustaría agradecer a nuestros estudiantes, maestros, personal y administradores por su extraordinaria capacidad de recuperación y trabajo duro en las últimas semanas. Nuestra facultad y el personal están haciendo un trabajo sobresaliente a la altura de este desafío sin precedentes.

Sus decisiones y acciones orientadas a garantizar la seguridad de nuestra comunidad junto con la transición para garantizar la continuidad académica y de negocios han sido complejas y de rápido movimiento, y absolutamente increíble.

Nuestra Superintendente y nuestros líderes escolares han respondido con calma haciéndose cargo, asumiendo acciones fuertes y necesarias, y ejemplificar consistentemente un mensaje de apoyo, aliento y seguridad para nuestros estudiantes, familias, profesores, empleados y toda la comunidad de TSD.
