Grading and Late Work Policy
All 8th-grade level classes share a similar grading breakdown, which is split into four categories. The categories are the following: Daily Work, Tests/Projects, Quizzes, and Soft Skills. The grading weight for the following categories can be seen below.
Grading system: Tests/Projects: 30%, Quizzes: 30%, Daily Work: 30%, Soft Skills (4 Ps): 10% (Punctual, Prepared, Productive, Professional)
As for the late submissions, I expect a transparent communication and I will try my best to be accommodating as much as possible given the circumstances.
A grade of 1 indicates that the assignment has an extended deadline. This is a placeholder grade, and the student may still submit the assignment to improve the grade, provided it is turned in by the extended deadline. With an excused absence, a student will be given 2 days to complete the work.
A grade of 0 means the assignment was not submitted by the deadline (including any extensions) and can no longer be submitted for a grade.
Please note that work more than a week old (from the due date) cannot be accepted for a grade at all.
