Middle Schoolers Giving Back: Building Community Through Service
Our middle school students are embarking on an exciting new project: βMiddle Schoolers Giving Back: Building Community Through Service.β Through hands-on community service field trips, students will have opportunities to contribute to the world around them, strengthening both their academic learning and their sense of social responsibility.
This project reflects our Middle Schoolβs mission of Caring School Community and lives out our motto: Community, Contribution, and Challenge. Students will gain real-world experience that builds character, empathy, and leadershipβwhile also making a meaningful impact.
What Students Will Gain:
-
Empathy and Respect β Understanding the needs and perspectives of others -
Leadership and Teamwork β Working together toward shared goals -
Community Connection β Engaging in service within both Deaf and broader communities
Why It Matters:
In addition to the hands-on service work, students will integrate academic skills such as planning, budgeting, and communication into these projects. These experiences will help them grow as problem-solvers and changemakers, preparing them for future challenges both in and out of the classroom.
We are proud of our students for taking on this opportunity to give back. Stay tuned for updates, photos, and reflections as they take part in these meaningful experiences!
