Hello Middle School family!
Remember a few weeks ago, I shared about community services? Now it is time!! It is now on Nov. 14th, on a Friday. There will be three different places where we will be going. Pick one. It’s so exciting! For all 6th,7th, 8th graders-you don’t need to be in their grade groups- you can go where you want to-with your friends! The first one is Harvest Blessings. What will we do there? We will pack items in the bags and bring them to the cars. Its for families who need food and we will help them. There will be a lot of cars. Up to 20 volunteers.
The second one is to Keep Austin Beautiful. What will we do? We will go to the park and clean it up-picking up trash so the park will look nice. Up to 40-45 volunteers.
The third one is to Austin Parks Foundation- mulching around trees and to keep it clean. Up to 40-45 volunteers.
Sign ups are on the board near my classroom. If you have any questions, please ask me or your teachers.
We will leave approximately 9-930 until approximately 12 (after lunch). Then, you will be getting a surprise!! For all your hard work! Im so excited! Please wear appropriate clothes-we will get dirty. No fancy shoes!
¡Hola familias de la escuela secundaria!
¿Recuerdan que hace unas semanas compartí sobre los servicios comunitarios? ¡¡Ahora es el momento!! Ya es el 14 de noviembre, un viernes. Habrá tres lugares diferentes donde iremos. Escojan uno. ¡Es tan emocionante! ¡Para todos los estudiantes de 6to, 7mo, 8vo grado , no necesitan estar en sus grupos de grado, pueden ir a donde quieran con sus amigos! El primero es Harvest Blessings. ¿Qué haremos allí? Empacaremos artículos en las bolsas y los llevaremos a los carros. Es para familias que necesitan comida y los ayudaremos. Habrá muchos coches. Hasta 20 voluntarios.
El segundo es mantener la belleza de Austin. ¿Qué haremos? Iremos al parque y lo limpiaremos, recogiendo la basura para que el parque tenga un aspecto bonito. Hasta 40-45 voluntarios.
El tercero es para la Fundación de Parques de Austin, para echar mantillo alrededor de los árboles y mantenerlo limpio. Hasta 40-45 voluntarios.
Se pueden inscribir en el pizarrón cerca de mi salón de clases. Si tienen alguna duda, pregúntenme a mí o a sus maestros.
Saldremos entre las 9-930 hasta las 12 aproximadamente (después de comer). ¡¡Luego, recibirán una sorpresa!! ¡Por todo su duro trabajo! ¡Estoy muy emocionada! Por favor usen ropa apropiada, nos ensuciaremos. ¡no zapatos caros!
