Dear TSD Community,
We want to reassure our students, staff, and families that Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) remains committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive learning environment.
In response to recent questions, we want to clarify that TSD has established protocols for any law enforcement presence on campus, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). If ICE agents were to come to campus, they would be directed to the Administrative and Welcome Center (AWC) and met by our School Safety and Security Director, Brian Casanova, who would manage the situation according to our procedures and applicable laws.
These protocols are designed to minimize disruption, protect privacy, and allow teaching and learning to continue as normal. TSD does not collect or share student or family immigration information.
