Our students shared that they would benefit from more time to thoughtfully develop their platforms, prepare their speeches, and fully engage in the campaign process. We value their voice and want to ensure that Student Council elections are meaningful, student-driven, and reflective of their best efforts.
With that in mind, we will be moving Student Council elections to the Fall. This will allow students the time and space to:
- Plan and refine their ideas
- Build strong, thoughtful platforms
- Prepare and practice their campaign speeches
- Fully participate in the election process
We believe this adjustment will lead to a more intentional and impactful experience for our students and will better support the development of leadership skills across our campus.
