Fridays will look a little different! The Grades 6–8 program will alternate between White Fridays (odd-numbered periods) and Blue Fridays (even-numbered periods) on a biweekly basis. Friday classes are extended to 70 minutes, allowing additional time for instruction, projects, activities, and deeper engagement with course content. Students will also have an extended 55-minute Advisory period on Fridays. An important reminder for families: school dismisses at 2:30 p.m. every Friday.
We encourage students and families to review the schedule carefully, particularly the alternating White and Blue Friday calendar, so students know which classes they will attend each Friday. Developing strong routines—including arriving on time, being prepared for each class, and knowing the daily schedule—is an important part of starting the year successfully. We look forward to seeing our Grades 6–8 students on the first day and beginning another great year of learning at TSD!
