College Visits

Hello! It is always exciting for upperclassmen to visit colleges and make the tough decision on choosing the best suitable college to attend.
However, we want you to be aware that, per the parent/student handbook, advance approval is required in order for the absence to be considered excused.
From the parent/student handbook:
A junior or senior student's absence of up to two days related to visiting a college or university will be consider an exception, provided this has been authorized by the TSD Governing Board under policy FEA, the student receives approval from the campus, follows the campus procedures to verify such a visit, and makes up any work missed."
What You Need to Do:
Reach out to us ahead of time for any future visits.
Get career counselor approval.
Follow campus procedures to verify the visit.
Make up any work missed.
We certainly want to support our students as they explore their post-secondary options, so just reach out to us ahead of time for any future visits, so we can make sure everything is appropriately documented and approved.
