We’re excited to share that the February edition of our Family Storytelling Series Project is now live on our YouTube Channel.

Weekend School will be held February 28–March 1 to provide EOC exam boot camp tutoring and attendance/academic recovery for eligible day and residential high school students, with specific attendance requirements and RSVP details outlined.

The Family Storytelling Project invites families to share photos, short voice recordings, or videos that reflect their experiences and traditions.

We will be administering NWEA MAP Growth Tests at the end of this month for students in grades 9–12. This assessment is typically given three times a year. For the MAP spring testing administration, we will also be assessing our students. This letter is to communicate a date change along with information to help your child prepare for testing.

The Texas School for the Deaf is moving forward with a $43.5 million campus expansion that will add new student housing, renovated classrooms, and improved campus security.

The Family Storytelling Series Project is now live, featuring the January edition and inviting families to share short stories about their experiences before, during, and after attending TSD using photos or videos. Participation is completely optional, and families can watch the January edition to learn more about the project.

Parents of students receiving special education services can apply for the PDSES one-time $1,500 grant from April 1–30 to purchase approved educational goods and services for their child.

The Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf (RIT/NTID) offers a wide variety of youth programs designed specifically for deaf and hard-of-hearing middle and high school students. These programs provide valuable opportunities for students to explore academic interests, learn about future careers, and gain confidence in a supportive, accessible environment.

The Texas School for the Deaf International Studies Program cordially invites the community to attend its 10th Annual Wine & Cheese fundraising event. This evening of fine flavors and celebration supports international learning opportunities for TSD students.
