Are you ready to dive into the new season? The High School Swim Team is recruiting new members!

Did you miss Picture Day or want a new photo? Fall Retake Day is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Texas School for the Deaf.

From November 3rd to November 7th, our campus will celebrate Red Ribbon Week, the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention campaign. This year’s theme centers on awareness, empowerment, and healthy choices, reminding everyone that we have the power to live drug-free lives!

We understand the stress and uncertainty many families are facing right now. SNAP benefits will not go through on November 1, creating a real challenge for households that rely on this support.

As of now, due to the continuing federal government shutdown, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has confirmed that full November 2025 SNAP benefits will not be issued unless new appropriations are approved.

Let me introduce myself. I retired from teaching and athletic training after 30 years and am now with TxDOT. I am one of the “Traffic Safety Specialists” in central Texas and one of the aspects that I work with are schools and education of young drivers.

Summer Camps and Programs are designed to foster learning, social skills development, and enjoyment for families,
children, teens and young adults as well as professional development opportunities.

Seniors can now sign up for Application Hour on October 10th and 17th during afternoon advisory to meet with their career counselor for help with college or other applications.

Get ready for an evening of fun, food, and fall festivities! Access Residential is proud to partner with the PTSO for a Halloween-themed community event on October 22 from 5–7 PM.

Get ready for a night full of treats, creativity, and fall festivities! The Texas School for the Deaf PTSO, in partnership with the ACCESS Program, invites everyone to join the Trunk or Treat celebration on Wednesday, October 22nd, from 5–7 PM.

What’s better than ice cream and volleyball? Both — at the same time! Come show your school spirit and support the Texas School for the Deaf Volleyball Team at Jeni’s Ice Creams on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Get ready to dig in, have fun, and make a difference! The Roots & Wings Festival Planting Party is happening October 25 at Festival Beach Food Forest (29 Waller Street, Austin).

As part of the Turkey Trot, we’re collecting canned goods and food donations to help families in need. Every donated item counts as 2 laps toward your 5K total during the event.

Preparing for the ACT just got easier! Students in the 9–12 Secondary Program can now take advantage of tutoring sessions designed to boost their readiness for this important college admissions test.
