The TSD Chess Team is gearing up for an exciting tournament at Seeger Gym. Supporters can tune in and follow the action live. Be sure to watch the livestream and cheer on our players as they compete.

Families are invited to a special, free screening of the documentary Unmasking Deaf Education on Thursday, May 7 at 6:00 PM in the Texas School for the Deaf Auditorium.

As summer approaches, time around pools, lakes, and beaches increases—and so does the importance of water safety. For students on the autism spectrum, this is especially critical.

A high school prom flyer for the Class of 2027 titled “A Night Under the Skyline,” featuring a city skyline background with string lights. The event takes place on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, from 6–10 PM at the Secret Garden + Atrium in Austin, with tickets priced at $90 per person.

Join us in supporting the Texas School for the Deaf High School Volleyball Program at a special fundraising event on Monday, April 13, 2026 at the P. Terry’s Burger Stand (404 S Lamar Blvd).

The Texas School for the Deaf will host its High School Awards Ceremony on May 27, 2026 at 1:30 PM in the R.L. Davis Auditorium to celebrate student excellence, dedication, and achievement.

The school has released next year’s calendar with key dates for the start and end of school, holidays, and breaks to help families plan ahead.

The PDSES application window is almost here. There is just one week left before applications open.

TSD Performing Arts presents Good Night, Ladies!, a lively story about three siblings and two aunts racing against time to save their family home. Performances take place April 9–11 with tickets $10 for adults and $5 for students, and all shows will be voice interpreted. 🎭

The meeting will be held Monday, April 6, 2026, from 3:30–4:30 PM, available in person at Cottage 568 and on Zoom (link provided).

Join us on Saturday, March 7, 2026 (6:00–8:00 PM PST) for the National Deaf Theatre & Film Festival High School Showcase. Schools from across the nation will gather at the California School for the Deaf, Riverside to celebrate student creativity in theatre and film. A livestream will also be available on YouTube.

SWCED 2026 is June 25–27 in Springwoods Village, TX, promoting collaboration to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The theme “Mission: Possible” emphasizes achieving every student’s goals.

Students explored electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and urban planning while examining how transportation choices affect equity, health, and the environment.
