It’s time for us to come together as one big TSD family! You (and your family) and our students and their families are invited to the Ranger Nation Festival on Thursday, October 2, 7:00–9:00 PM.

The Family and Student Advocacy Services (FSAS) Department is hosting a special virtual presentation on Internet Safety for TSD Elementary and Middle School families on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 6:00–7:00 PM. This important session will address one of the most pressing concerns for parents today—how to recognize if your child is being groomed online. Families will have the chance to learn strategies, ask questions, and gain practical tools to better protect their children in digital spaces.

Get ready, TSD students—it’s time to finish out Spirit Week 2025! Each day brings a new chance to show your school pride and creativity. The week kicks off on Thursday, September 25, with Pink Out, followed by Dress Like a Decade on Friday. After the weekend, the fun continues with Mystery Day on Monday, September 29, then Class Colors on Tuesday, September 30, and Blue and White Day on Wednesday, October 1. Spirit Week wraps up in cozy style with Pajama Day on Thursday, October 2

Why MAP Testing Matters

This week, middle school students will be setting personal goals to help guide their learning. Next week, we’ll take the NWEA MAP test, which helps us see how much you’ve learned and how you’re growing.

Why is MAP important?

It’s about YOU. MAP shows your teachers your strengths and where you may need more support.

It helps set goals. Your scores help you and your teachers make goals that keep you moving forward.

It measures growth. Every test shows progress, even small steps. Growth is success!

It connects to the state. As part of our agreement (MOU) with the Texas Education Agency (TEA), MAP helps make sure you’re on track and receiving the best support possible.
