Mark your calendars for Friday, November 14th! All 6th–8th graders are invited to take part in our exciting Community Service Day. We will have three great volunteer opportunities to choose from.

We’re thrilled to announce that Amanda Tuite, founder of Access Vine and President of the Texas School for the Deaf Foundation, will be visiting campus to share valuable resources available to the Deaf community!

Learn more about our 2025–2026 Winter Sports programs for 5/6 and 7/8 grade student-athletes! The orientation video and PowerPoint cover key details on basketball, cheerleading, swimming, and wrestling, as well as expectations, parent roles, and schedules for tryouts and practices. Coaches will review all information again at the first practice on Monday, Oct. 27, at the TSD Gym.

On October 30th, Middle School students and staff will have a fun filled Olympic Field Day! Click on me to read more about what this day will be all about.

Feastgiving Food Drive and Turkey Trot are teaming up to support TSD families in need this fall. Our goal is to collect enough food donations to help 35 families during the holiday Fall break. We hope this event will bring our TSD community together to support a great cause.

Grab your favorite ice cream at 1208 South Congress Ave. on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, from 3–6 PM — 25% of your purchase will be donated to the Texas School for the Deaf Volleyball Team before the JV and Varsity home games!

We’re implementing Senate Bill 13, which ensures families have access to library catalogs and can monitor what their child checks out through our Follett platform.

Red Ribbon Week, held each year during the last week of October, is the nation’s largest and longest-running drug prevention campaign.

Students can now access the Tutoring Center to receive extra support and/or improve their grades. Please refer to the flyer to see what the benefits are for tutoring and how you can sign up for additional support.

Our Academic Intervention Program will begin providing tutoring for students. Please see the flyer/video for more information on the academic zones.

This is a space created by parents, for parents. Come meet others who share your journey, exchange positive guidance, and build a stronger network within the TSD community. Whether you're new or a longtime TSD family, all are welcome to join us!!

We’re excited to share that two of our outstanding high school students, Jami Haynes and Kimora Vollmar, will be visiting the Middle School to lead an important presentation on Social Media Use and Drug & Alcohol Awareness. These student leaders are part of the HS Leadership Class and are passionate about helping younger students make positive and healthy choices.

We're excited to let you know that we’re starting a Middle School Debate Club this year. The club is specifically to help students get ready for the Gallaudet Youth Debate Bowl, an individual competition where middle schoolers go head-to-head in formal debates.

In Debate Club, we’ll practice how to organize ideas, build strong arguments, and speak with confidence. No experience is needed. You just need to be willing to try something new and put in the effort.

Students/Children can not be left without parental/guardian supervision at the Ranger Nation Festival.

Texas School for the Deaf is proud to introduce our 2025 Math Hackers team! This group of students has been selected for their strong problem-solving skills, perseverance, and excitement for math. As part of the Math Hackers program, they will have the opportunity to sharpen their reasoning abilities, tackle challenging math problems, and compete against other schools from across the nation.
