We are excited to kick off the 2025–2026 Middle School Student Council elections! Students will begin campaigning the week of September 2, with posters/videos shown on campus and voting scheduled for September 12 .

What’s SWCED 2026?

SWCED (Texas Statewide Conference for the Education of the Deaf) is a biennial event designed to bring together parents, educators, professionals, and community members to support students with hearing differences. The conference theme—“Mission: Possible”—celebrates the belief that every student’s goals are achievable through collaboration and inclusive support.

We are excited to celebrate the official dedication of the Rives Gymnasium for our middle school students on August 22nd. This will be a closed event where we look forward to sharing this milestone with our students, staff, and special guests!

This year, we are launching our Middle School Academic Zones program to provide targeted support for students based on their academic progress. Students will be placed in one of three zones — Yellow, Orange, or Red — determined by their grades at progress reports and the end of each quarter.

Each zone offers structured tutoring support and clear expectations to help students improve their performance. Click me to read more!

All of our middle school students will be assigned a locker to keep their belongings safe and organized. While locks are not provided, we encourage families to purchase one that works best for their student.

This year, our Middle School students will enjoy a wide variety of elective opportunities designed to spark curiosity, build skills, and help them discover new interests.

Welcome to a brand new school year! My name is Rachel Harris and I’m excited to be your school counselor this year. Middle school is an important time of growth, discovery, and change, and I’m here to support students as they navigate both the challenges and the exciting opportunities ahead.

Our Health Center staff is excited for a new year! Included here is their Welcome Letter and Medication Policy.

The library will open on Monday, August 25th for checkout after undergoing orientation to review library expectations. The library hours will be announced then.  A book drop has been installed in the hallway next to the main library doors. The new book drop will now make it possible for students and staff to return library materials when the library is closed. More information regarding the library will be shared in the coming weeks.

We warmly invite all Middle School parents, students, and families to join us for our Open House on Sunday, August 10th, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM.
