Campus Construction

The 88th Texas Legislature allocated funding to renovate and expand the facilities for our ACCESS (18+) program. This includes an update and expansion of our Kleberg building (built in 1983), and new student housing. In Kleberg, we will add an expansion to the west side of the building, including new classrooms and student flex spaces. The new student housing will be built on the site of the current transitional apartments on Elizabeth Street, and will be a 3-story housing unit, with sixteen 4-bedroom apartments, that will house up to 64 students.

 

We will also be renovating our Elizabeth St. Security Entrance with an island booth in the center of the entry, wider lanes, and a turn-around area for cars, to further increase campus safety and efficiency.
