Kleberg Renovation and New Housing Building

The new ACCESS housing building and Kleberg renovation will feature DeafSpace design concepts to assist in the growth and success of our 18+ students. The Kleberg addition and renovated spaces will serve to better educate our students and prepare them for life outside of TSD, with well outfitted classrooms and gathering areas. The new housing building will be a 3 story building, with sixteen 4-bedroom apartments, to be the home of up to 64 students. It will have gathering spaces and common areas for this group of young adults to learn together and build community.

 

The Elizabeth St. guard booth will replicate the function of the Congress gate, with its location situated on an island between the lanes of traffic. The road will be widened to accommodate this, as well as relocated for u-turn capabilities. 

 

The current projected move-in for these projects are fall of 2028.
