2013-2014

Welcome to Teen Leadership, an exciting course designed to develop professional and leadership skills! Because Teen Leadership is a highly-interactive experience, you will have opportunities to present a variety of speeches, participate in group discussions and activities, and write journal entries based on classroom experiences. If you give 100% to the program, you will be incredibly successful, not only in this course but for the rest of your life.

Some of the incredible benefits include: (1) handling peer pressure, (2) building meaningful relationships, (3) communicating effectively, (4) accepting personal responsibility for yourself, (5) realizing the importance of life goals and vision, and (6) taking risks to be successful.

Report cards are given every nine (9) weeks. Your average is based on the following:

Speeches/ Tests 40%

Daily Work 45%

Benchmark 10%

Class Participation 5%---Actively Participating

Your supplies every day include a spiral and something to write with.

The most important aspect of Teen Leadership is that you learn and use the skills of a leader. You will learn by DOING, which will build your self-confidence by learning how to speak, how to present your ideas and how to work cooperatively with people. Always follow the WIT way of thinking (Whatever It Takes)!
