Principles of Hospitality & Tourism

This course provides students with the academic and technical preparation to pursue high-demand and high-skill careers within the hospitality and tourism field (travel, tourism, recreation, amusement, resorts, hotels, and restaurants).  Project-based learning approach will be used throughout the course to learn new skills and knowledge. Students will be assigned to clients on-campus and be responsible for planning and facilitating special events.    

Future Career Possibilities:  Event Planner, Wedding Planner, Conference Coordinator, Hotel Guest Relations, Travel Agent, Sales and Marketing, Customer Service, Public Relation Specialist, and Recreation Worker.
