Geometry (Period 3)

Welcome back Rangers, and WELCOME TO GEOMETRY! Geometry is one the oldest sciences, and many of the concepts that were discovered by the ancient Greeks are still applicable today. In fact, the roots of the word geometry mean “to measure the earth”. However, this class will be much more than just measuring things. One important aspect of this class will be to develop mathematical thinking, specifically through problem solving and proofs. This mathematical thinking will rely on what was learned in Algebra, and apply that knowledge to concepts such as angles, surfaces, proportions, and solids. I’m extremely excited to be teaching this class, and look forward to the discoveries we’ll make along the way!
