ASL 2 (Period 6th)
Course Description
 This is regular ASL 2 course. Students will learn the depth of the linguistic, culture, history and arts.  This course includes the five C's: Cultures, Comparisons, Communities, Communications and Connections.
Learning Outcomes
Students will learn:
Communication:   
- ASL Linguistic
 - Semantics, Phrases & Slang
 - Non Manual Markers
 - Types of speeches: argumentative, persuasive, informative, instructional and entertaining.
 - Depth of the classifiers
 
Cultures:  
- ASL Poetry and visual songs
 - History of Deaf artists, performers, sport players, Deaf educators
 - Hearing culture vs Deaf culture
 - Etiquette
 
Communities:
- Deaf community's current events (DTV, IDeafnews, The Daily Moth, etc)
 - Newsletters from Deaf community
 - Social media from Deaf community
 - Deaf achievers: Deaf business owners, authors, athletics, actors, etc
 
Comparisons:
- To learn about other Deaf cultures in this worldwide
- British Sign Language & culture
 - Mexican Sign Language & culture
 - Other foreign sign languages & cultures
 
 - To learn about Hearing cultures to find the difference and similar in United States of America.
 
Connections:  
- Storytelling that applies to the learner's knowledge and experience in Deaf community & culture.
