College Algebra (CLEP) (Period 7)

Course Description

Welcome back Rangers, and WELCOME TO COLLEGE ALGEBRA! The concepts learned this year will be very similar to those learned in previous Algebra courses, however the difference is the depth in which we will study these concepts. We will explore topics in Algebra that due to the breadth of the course may not have had the chance to be emphasized, and incorporate technology that will assist students in solving real world problems. My goal for students by the end of this course is to feel like they have a solid background in mathematics that will better prepare them for ACT/SAT tests, as well as any math courses they will take in college.

What is CLEP? CLEP is the acronym for College Level Examination Program that allows students to take a standardized test on the subject of their choice, and if they pass the test they will receive college credit to participating colleges. Practice questions and materials will be intertwined in this curriculum so that students will feel prepared if they choose to take this exam at the end of the year.
