Work Policy
Most work is due the day after it is assigned with the exception of projects and essays. Students are expected to finish their work on time. Students who do finish their work but receive a grade they are not satisfied with can, at any time during the same academic quarter, re-do homework or classwork for a different grade. When work is re-done, the two scores will be averaged for a final score. Extra credit is not given in this course.
Absent Work and Tardiness
If a student is absent, they are responsible for turning in all classwork and homework missed. Absent work will typically be due two days after the student returns to school, so if a student is absent on Tuesday, returned to school on Wednesday, his or her work will be due Friday. Overdue work will be listed in the gradebook as a 1 so students know it needs to be turned in. Assignments once they are past a week overdue will not be accepted and a grade of 0 will be placed in the gradebook.
If a student arrives late to class, they are to quietly join in and catch up on work.
