Hello! My name is Teara Mendez
Hello, my name is Teara Mendez, and I’m excited to share a little about myself. I have been part of the Texas School for the Deaf community for the past 11 years and bring 8 years of teaching experience to the classroom. This year marks my fourth year with the ACCESS Program, where I have the privilege of supporting students as they grow in independence, confidence, and lifelong skills.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and hold teaching certifications in both Early Childhood–6th Grade (EC-6) and Special Education, Early Childhood–12th Grade (EC-12). My background allows me to blend a strong foundation in social work with a passion for education, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
I truly look forward to working with your adult child and partnering with you throughout the year. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me anytime at [email protected] with questions, concerns, or just to connect.
