Welcome to TSD!

Welcome back to school! As an ACCESS teacher, I enjoy supporting adult students as they work toward greater independence and achieve their personal, educational, and career goals. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is watching my students grow, gain confidence, and build meaningful connections.

 

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, walking, exploring family history, and creating art. Art has been a passion of mine since I was very young. I especially enjoy painting and drawing cartoons and figures inspired by Deaf culture and ASL. I also love illustrating my own children's books, doodling, creating Mandala art, and making art projects for customers, family, and friends. And, of course, I am a big dog and cat lover!

 

Family is very important to me. I cherish spending time with my husband, children, grandchildren, and our two furry companions, Tuffy and Doom. All four of my children graduated from Texas School for the Deaf, and two of them now work at TSD as teachers. My grandchildren also attend TSD, making TSD a very special part of our family's story.
