National Deaf Cheer Competition
Experience the thrill of the 3rd Annual National Deaf Cheer Competition (NDCC), a premier event celebrating the talent and dedication of deaf cheerleaders from across North America including our very own cheerleaders from the Texas School for the Deaf who are participating in this event. Hosted at the esteemed Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, this year's competition runs from March 6 to 9, 2025.
The NDCC was established to provide more opportunities for small schools and to recognize the efforts of cheerleaders who are often overlooked. It serves as an additional platform, complementing other deaf tournaments, to keep cheerleaders engaged and motivated throughout their season.
Today's main event, the Cheer Competition, is scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST. For those unable to attend in person, live streaming is available through WGEPlus.tv, ensuring you don't miss any of the high-energy performances.
Notably, the Texas School for the Deaf, based in Austin, secured second place in Division 1 at last year's NDCC. They are back this year, aiming for the top spot.
Don't miss this opportunity to support and be inspired by these exceptional athletes. Tune in live this evening to witness the passion and skill that define the National Deaf Cheer Competition.
