Get ready for a night full of treats, creativity, and fall festivities! The Texas School for the Deaf PTSO, in partnership with the ACCESS Program, invites everyone to join the Trunk or Treat celebration on Wednesday, October 22nd, from 5–7 PM.

What’s better than ice cream and volleyball? Both — at the same time! Come show your school spirit and support the Texas School for the Deaf Volleyball Team at Jeni’s Ice Creams on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Get ready to dig in, have fun, and make a difference! The Roots & Wings Festival Planting Party is happening October 25 at Festival Beach Food Forest (29 Waller Street, Austin).

As part of the Turkey Trot, we’re collecting canned goods and food donations to help families in need. Every donated item counts as 2 laps toward your 5K total during the event.

Attention Class of 2025 students and parents: graduation day is fast approaching!

Preparing for the ACT just got easier! Students in the 9–12 Secondary Program can now take advantage of tutoring sessions designed to boost their readiness for this important college admissions test.

This year only happens once. Relive it forever with the official Texas School for the Deaf 2025–2026 Yearbook: TSD of Dreams. Celebrate all the moments, memories, and milestones that made this year unforgettable.

This year’s Feastgiving Food Drive is here! We’re coming together as a community to support Texas School for the Deaf families during the upcoming fall holiday break.

Starting mid-October, counselors will host Expect Respect, a group that meets on Thursdays during lunch and advisory. The program helps students improve communication, build healthy relationships, and promote respect at school. Parent consent is required, and sign-ups are due by October 10, 2025.

Please save the date on your calendars! All seniors will attend this event and will have a special schedule that day.

The 2025 TSD Homecoming Showdown Fest on October 3–4 will feature cross country, volleyball, football, carnival booths, campus tours, alumni activities, and the Homecoming Royalty Coronation. Shuttle service, bilingual info, and tiered admission prices make the weekend accessible and family-friendly.

The Spirit Week flyer outlines themed dress-up days and activities from Sept. 25 – Oct. 1, including Goth, Home State, Decades, Class Colors, and Blue & White spirit wear. Daily events feature games and celebrations like Blind Volleyball, Powder Puff, Homegoing, an obstacle course, and a Pep Rally where the Spirit Week Champion will be announced.

The flyer announces volunteer opportunities for Spike Out XXV and Homecoming Day, listing roles such as admission, concessions, parking, traffic, and security. Volunteers can sign up via QR code and earn incentives like discounted or free admission and parking passes based on hours served.

Starting next month, our ambitious 9-12th grade STEM students will join graduate students and professors from the University of Texas on a monthly basis for an exciting opportunity to network and learn.
