The school has released next year’s calendar with key dates for the start and end of school, holidays, and breaks to help families plan ahead.

The PDSES application window is almost here. There is just one week left before applications open.

TSD Performing Arts presents Good Night, Ladies!, a lively story about three siblings and two aunts racing against time to save their family home. Performances take place April 9–11 with tickets $10 for adults and $5 for students, and all shows will be voice interpreted. 🎭

The meeting will be held Monday, April 6, 2026, from 3:30–4:30 PM, available in person at Cottage 568 and on Zoom (link provided).

Join us on Saturday, March 7, 2026 (6:00–8:00 PM PST) for the National Deaf Theatre & Film Festival High School Showcase. Schools from across the nation will gather at the California School for the Deaf, Riverside to celebrate student creativity in theatre and film. A livestream will also be available on YouTube.

SWCED 2026 is June 25–27 in Springwoods Village, TX, promoting collaboration to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The theme “Mission: Possible” emphasizes achieving every student’s goals.

Students explored electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and urban planning while examining how transportation choices affect equity, health, and the environment.

Families are invited to connect, share, and learn together through the Deaf Plus Families Parent Group, hosted by Family Services at Texas School for the Deaf.

Summer Camps and Programs are designed to foster learning, social skills development, and enjoyment for families,
children, teens and young adults as well as professional development opportunities.

On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, the Career Transition Team will host an exciting Career Day for students in grades 9–12. The event is designed to give students meaningful exposure to real-world career paths while highlighting successful Deaf professionals who will share their experiences, challenges, and achievements.

The Off-Season Strength and Conditioning Program at Texas School for the Deaf gives high school students an opportunity to stay active and build strength during the spring season. Led by Coach Kenneth Montanez, the program promotes fitness, confidence, and overall wellness.

Empowering deaf and hard-of-hearing students means providing accessible learning environments where communication, confidence, and independence can grow. Through supportive programs, mentorship, and hands-on opportunities, students can build skills, explore career paths, and develop strong connections within their community.

We’re excited to share that the February edition of our Family Storytelling Series Project is now live on our YouTube Channel.

Weekend School will be held February 28–March 1 to provide EOC exam boot camp tutoring and attendance/academic recovery for eligible day and residential high school students, with specific attendance requirements and RSVP details outlined.

The Family Storytelling Project invites families to share photos, short voice recordings, or videos that reflect their experiences and traditions.

We will be administering NWEA MAP Growth Tests at the end of this month for students in grades 9–12. This assessment is typically given three times a year. For the MAP spring testing administration, we will also be assessing our students. This letter is to communicate a date change along with information to help your child prepare for testing.

The Texas School for the Deaf is moving forward with a $43.5 million campus expansion that will add new student housing, renovated classrooms, and improved campus security.
