Ms. Ashley O'Niell, our School Based Mental Health and Wellness Coordinator, is excited to announce a groundbreaking addition to our resources. The 988 Lifeline hotline is accessible in American Sign Language (ASL) to better serve our Deaf community.

We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our exceptional educators here at the High School Texas School for the Deaf, Ms. Judi Ann Pate, who will be presenting an enlightening workshop at Texas Education Agency on October 9th at 9:00 AM - 11:00am.

With House Bill 174, the Texas State Legislature named the last Friday in September American Indian Heritage Day, which recognizes the historic, cultural, and social contributions American Indian communities and leaders have made to the state.

Dedicated to raising awareness of the contributions of Americans with Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central or South American, other Latin American heritage.

Attention, Parents/Guardians! We are excited to invite you to a presentation and Q&A session focused on Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services. By participating in the Zoom session, you will gain a better understanding of how Vocational Rehabilitation services can help your child to achieve their educational and career goals, whether your child is preparing for college or entering the workforce. If you are the parent of a residential student, this is a very important person for you to know! Trudy Zhang is our Home-going Transportation Coordinator and has worked at TSD for 6 years. Trudy goes above and beyond what is required of her job and she is in constant contact with her home-going families and staff. Trudy loves the unpredictability of weather and flight delays. She enjoys working with everyone: staff, students, parents, travel agents and bus drivers. One thing she can't live without is COFFEE and she loves to travel.
